  11. I have a USR Sportster 28.8 V.34 with Win95 Dial Up Networking. I have 
  12. selected for the modem to download at 115,200 under prpoerties. (The 
  13. always connect at this speed box is grayed out).

  15. I installed a Zoom ComStart 28.8 last night and Win95 wouldn't detect it, 
  16. so I selected the modem from the list. It istalled OK, but the connection 
  17. shows it was operating at 115,200 bps.

  19. The USR modem never showed higher than 28,800 bps.

  21. The download seemed faster with the ComStar.

  23. What gives with the different connect speeds?
