- I have a USR Sportster 28.8 V.34 with Win95 Dial Up Networking. I have
- selected for the modem to download at 115,200 under prpoerties. (The
- always connect at this speed box is grayed out).
-
- I installed a Zoom ComStart 28.8 last night and Win95 wouldn't detect it,
- so I selected the modem from the list. It istalled OK, but the connection
- shows it was operating at 115,200 bps.
-
- The USR modem never showed higher than 28,800 bps.
-
- The download seemed faster with the ComStar.
-
- What gives with the different connect speeds?
-
- Thanks!
